Principal Software Engineer/Developer – ARC CoE for Plant Success at UQ

The ARC Centre of Excellence for Plant Success at The University of Queensland is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer/Developer to provide advanced level software design, code development, maintenance and support for plant/crop modelling projects in the ARC CoE for Plant Success (www.plantsuccess.org). The APSIM (agricultural production systems modelling – www.apsim.info) framework will be adapted and linked with whole genome prediction routines. The software platform to be developed will facilitate projects within the CoE exploring the basis of genetic control of plant adaptation. With linkages to breeding of key crop species this will inform future approaches to crop improvement.
