Cloud Raptor is a multi-technology servicing agency, such as Cloud, Data, Cyber security, programming, SAAS, Infra, testing, and project services. It has around 100 employees and is growing at a very fast rate. Cloud Raptor is looking for the best talent to come over to the business and potentially grow with the business and move into leadership positions.

Currently, it has a requirement for one of its clients named Wipro.  This job opportunity will be based in Melbourne.

Job description: 
Data Scientist with expertise in electricity transmission and distribution, as well as strong programming
skills in Python, R, experience with Databricks & Azure services. The requirement is to work with a team of experts to analyse and model large datasets to improve the performance and reliability of electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business subject matter experts to define and develop models that improve the
reliability and efficiency of electricity transmission and distribution systems.
• Experience or Strong knowledge in Asset Management / Asset Lifecycle Management
• Collect and analyze large datasets using Python, SQL, and Databricks to identify trends, patterns,
and anomalies.
• Design and develop predictive models using machine learning algorithms, such as regression,
decision trees, and neural networks.
• Evaluate model performance and refine models as necessary to improve accuracy and precision.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure efficient data collection,
processing, and storage.
• Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both verbally
and through written reports and presentations.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data science and machine learning
and identify opportunities to apply new techniques and tools to improve our analysis and
modeling capabilities.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, such as computer science, electrical engineering,
and/or statistics.
• Knowledge of electricity assets & networks and grid operations is a mandatory
