Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Statistics/Mathematical Data Science – The University of Queensland

The University of Queensland’s School of Mathematics and Physics is are seeking a candidate with a strong research background in statistics or mathematical data science for a continuing Teaching and Research position. The role involves active participation in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, and service courses. The successful appointee will supervise Higher Degree by Research (PhD and MPhil), postgraduate coursework, and Honours students while conducting high-quality research. Additionally, responsibilities include administrative tasks, outreach initiatives, and other activities associated with the School.

  • This is a full-time (100%), continuing Teaching and Research position at Academic Level B or C, commensurate with relevant skills and qualifications. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases.
  • The Level B full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range of $108,201.26 – $128,201.75 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $126,595.47 – $149,996.05 annually.
  • The Level C full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range of $132,201.83 – $152,202.33 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $154,676.15 – $178,076.72 annually.
