Postdoctoral Fellow, Statistical Methods – Cancer Council Queensland

The Postdoctoral Fellow, Statistical Methods works within the Cancer Epidemiology research team with the aim of developing statistical methods to better describe and understand spatial patterns of cancer in Australia. The role will provide opportunities to develop and apply statistical methods, prepare manuscripts for publication in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, and collaborate with our university partners.

The role will conduct complex statistical analyses under the supervision of the Senior Research Fellow, Modelling and Epidemiology to investigate spatial variation in cancer indicators, focussing on better understanding the characteristics of spatial patterns of cancer outcomes across Australia. Along with other investigators, you will contribute to and/or lead the writing of scientific manuscripts outlining this work and discuss the implications of the results.

You will also work with other members of the research team to build our research capacity and ensure that all research is conducted to the highest of quality.

  • This role is Fixed-Term, 2 years
  • Full-time (37.5 hours per week).
