The IAEA is the world’s center for cooperation in the nuclear field and seeks to promote the safe, secure and peaceful use of nuclear technologies. The Data Scientist (Information Analysis Projects) will support divisional initiatives in artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), with a focus on collecting and validating safeguard-relevant information. By applying machine learning and the latest AI/ML innovations to analyze various types of unstructured data, the Data Scientist will assist the Division’s analysts by developing prototypes that explore new opportunities for safeguards information analysis. These prototypes aim to improve both efficiency and effectiveness.

This role is funded by Australia, with the selected candidate working on behalf of Australia at the IAEA in Vienna.
