Data Scientist/Statistician – Health Policy Analysis

Health Policy Analysis is looking for a data scientist/statistician to become part of its data science and statistics team. Health Policy Analysis is a consulting firm working in health care. It works with governments and private sector organisations in Australia and internationally to:

  • evaluate health care initiatives and programs
  • develop health service planning tools and funding models

What does the role involve?

The day-to-day role of Healthy Policy Analysis data scientists/statisticians involves:

  • Developing programs to perform descriptive, statistical and predictive analysis, within reproducible data analysis workflows.
  • Contributing to HPA consultancy projects which include a data analysis and/or statistical component.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of our software applications and packages, including R packages and Shiny apps.
  • Contributing to improvements and innovations in managing and analysing data sets and reporting results.
