Job Description:
Svexa is looking for a qualified and motivated Lead Data Scientist, Product Engineer, and Team Lead to our Analytics unit. You will work on the design, development and deployment of data analytics modules and softwares in the health/fitness/sport space. You are able to fuse deep domain knowledge with modern data science in an efficient and scalable way. The system has high demands when it comes to security and stability.
You are comfortable leading a remote team that will operate globally, managing the tasks and workload for each individual.

Profile Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in data science, data engineering and data visualization.
  • Deep domain knowledge and personal interest in health, fitness,and/or sports.
  • Extensive knowledge of data driven sport technology,including wearable technology and their respective sampled metrics.
  • A strong strategic ability to at a high level plan, implement and monitor system architectures of analytic services.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage and implement multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • Fluent in conversational and written English.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python and all standard data science related libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow and/or PyTorch).
  • A proven track record of designing, implementing, monitoring and scaling models in one or many of the following areas: Time series regression models, NLPs/LLMs, transformers, classification, clustering.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience from both classic modeling and AI/ML as well as ensemble models of the two.
  • Experience in following and optimizing with respect to standard machine learning best practices and DevOps.
  • Experience in working with GCP, SQL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A majority of the daily work routine is focused on implementing new data analytics modules and features, as well as maintaining existing ones.
  • Lead the Analytics Unit, and manage the team.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Work on ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security across all platforms.
  • Participate in relationships with client side analysts/developers, evaluate and respond to their analytical needs.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in data analytics, data science, sport technology
