The ARC Centre of Excellence for the Mathematical Analysis of Cellular Systems (MACSYS) is seeking an outstand researcher to join the Centre as a Fellow (Academic Level C) in the Quantitative and Computational Biology Group at the Australian National University. The Fellow will lead independent, high-impact research in advanced machine learning and hybrid modelling for genomics and cellular processes, contributing directly to the development of Whole Cell Models (WCMs). The Centre is looking for a researcher with a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computational Biology, or a closely related field, with a strong background in artificial intelligence and machine learning applied to genomics and biological systems. The ideal candidate will have interdisciplinary expertise spanning computer science, mathematics, and genomics, enabling them to undertake integrative research in hybrid modelling approaches aimed at developing Whole Cell Models.

- Salary package: $138,972.00 – $154,462.00 per annum plus 17% superannuation
- Term: Part-time (0.6FTE), Fixed Term for up to 24 months
