Be part of the Australian Institute for Machine Learning – the largest computer vision and machine learning research group in Australia and contribute to world leading Augmented Reasoning research projects. The Centre for Augmented Reasoning, headquartered within the Australian Institute for Machine Learning, is seeking to recruit Grant-Funded Researchers at Level B or Level C in augmented reasoning machine learning.
The postdoctoral researcher for Embodied reasoning using large language models for robotic planning and interaction will be supervised by Dr Feras Dayoub. The research approach will be quantitative research methods with an experimental research design. The project will focus on performing experiments using robots, including a robotic quadruped (dog). This project will enable a robot to establish a dialogue with a large language model (LLM) to execute a novel task.
- (Level B) $102,952 to $121,779 or (Level C) $125,537 to $144,368 per annum plus an employer contribution of up to 17% superannuation will apply.
- 2-year fixed-term position available, with the possibility of an extension, subject to project end-date. Flexible work arrangements can be negotiated with the right candidate.
