Business Development Manager in Data Science – UNSW Data Science Hub

In this newly created role focused on Data Science, you’ll design and execute a business development and partner engagement strategy for the Faculty of Science at UNSW to generate knowledge exchange pathways, negotiate partnerships and achieve key revenue targets. As the subject matter expert in Data Science research commercialisation, you’ll operate as a key interface between the University, relevant industry sectors and government, and drive complex negotiations and close significant business deals.

You’ll also engage with UNSW researchers to provide strategic support, coaching and guidance to promote knowledge exchange and the resources available to market and facilitate programs and initiatives.

The Business Development Manager reports to Senior Business Development Manager in Knowledge Exchange and has a dotted reporting line to the Deputy Dean, Research & Enterprise, UNSW Science. The role has no direct reports.

• Create and deliver a business development strategy focused on Data Science
• Strategic and hands-on business development in research commercialisation
• 2-year fixed term contract
