The successful candidates in the School of Mathematics and Statistics will lead the running of large first year and second year units and therefore have experience in coordinating large first year or second units in statistics, mathematics or applied mathematics. They should have a strong, full time, and long-term commitment to a career in Mathematics Education and a track record in peer-reviewed research or Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (relative to opportunity) published or disseminated in high-quality outlets for their discipline. A PhD in applied mathematics, statistics, mathematics, or a closely related field is required.
